The pub lunch group started in 2007 with a turnout of ten people; these days we have around 20 lunchers, although the Cleave at Lustleigh attracted 35. A different pub is visited roughly every other month, after being vetted by Ken and Pauline. To date we have eaten in ten hostelries, ranging from the Rugglestone at Widdecombe to Dainton Golf Club.

Should anyone query the relevance of pub lunches to Academia, be reminded that pubs often play a large part of university life !
